As part of the mass grading for this project, a 9-acre drainage basin was scoped to be constructed. However, prior to completion of storm drain improvements on this project, the basin became flooded due to adjacent agricultural operations. In order to complete the remaining storm drain, and deliver the project on-time to the client, our team quickly pivoted to overcome this unforeseen challenge while ensuring the best outcome for the project. A specialized bladder was mobilized to the project and installed to create a temporary dam. Once the bladder was filled, the Lund team was able to de-water the immediate area and complete storm drain installation so that the project could continue into the next phase of development and be completed successfully. Lund’s total project scope included 120,000 CY mass grading; 147 finished lots; 3,200 LF of storm drain installation, and post and cable fencing.
